A fantastic suggestion was brought up in a comment on my last post about mustaches: start a caption contest. Heaven knows I have plenty of photos that, while great on their own, would become even more fantastic with an appropriate (or inappropriate) caption.
So, few and gentle readers, I hereby announce the first of hopefully many caption contests here on this humble little blog. It couldn’t be easier: I post a photo, then you think of a caption and post it in a comment. You may submit as many captions as you want. I will choose and announce a winner exactly one week after the photo was initially posted. The lucky winner will win the Satisfaction of Knowing He or She Has Won the Caption Contest, as well as a permanent display in the as of yet not created Caption Archive, which should be incentive enough for everyone to participate.
I thought it would be fun to start with the photo that spawned this brilliant idea. The contest will end on Tuesday, August 26. I can’t wait to see what you come up with. Have fun, and good luck!
